The Estate

The gracious homesteads in Belvidere Estate follow a design manual which is regularly updated, in line with changing building trends and technological advances while retaining the open look and feel of the Estate. The upkeep of all these beautiful homes are continually monitored to ensure that the standards are maintained at a high level.

Homesteads

Strict estate standards (including the dwellings) are maintained and enhanced where practical.

Vast tracts of natural vegetation which encourages the exceptional birdlife, paths , walkways – wild pigs and porcupines are regularly spotted at night.

Approx. 50 % of the homes are occupied by permanents while the balance is made up of second/holiday homes and the Belvidere Manor hotel cottages.

Architecture

We have 223 lovely family homes, many having fabulous lagoon and /or forest views, built according to strict design standards which has harmonised the overall image and retained the character of 19th Century Eastern Cape buildings (Georgian and Victorian) in a spectacular parkland like setting with a single entrance.
